How many job seekers fall into the same trap of detailing their skills and experience on their resume by using standard terminology such as being “ a good organiser” or “a team player”? How does this make you stand out from the crowd if you are writing the same as everyone else?
Try demonstrating WHY and HOW you are a good organiser or team player by giving examples of what you have done in your current and previous roles. Your resume will then start to provide the reader with a better understanding of what you do.
What have you achieved? Have you improved current work practices or the bottom line by your actions? Were you involved in any projects where you had an impact? You need to be able to qualify any statements you make otherwise the words you write are pointless. Bring your resume to life - engage the reader and you should make it past the first hurdle.
